Multiplication Madness!

In multiplication problems, if you double a factor & half the other, then you'll get the exact same product!

This math trick works with all numbers, even imaginary numbers & complex numbers, which you'll see in the examples below!

Examples:

25 × 6 = 150; 50 × 3 = 150

17 × 9 = 153; 34 × 4½ = 153

π × the square root of 2 = 4.442882938...; 2π × half of the square root of 2 = 4.442882938...

i × 36 = 36i; 2i × 18 = 36i

(7 + 8i)(9 + i) = 55 + 79i; (3½ + 4i)(18 + 2i) = 55 + 79i

(This time, I cut the 1st factor in half & doubled the 2nd one!)

The idempotence of the number 1 doesn't affect this math trick in a disappointing way! Since zero(0) multiplied by any number is still zero, it's out of the question!

1 × 3 = 3; 2 × 1½ = 3; ½ × 6 = 3

0 × 9 = 0; 0 × 18 = 0; 0 × 4½ = 0
