The Super Special Function

x - (x - y) = y

x - (x + y) = -y

Example:

If x = 8 and y = 5, then...

8 - (8 - 5) = 8 - 3 = +5

8 - (8 + 5) = 8 - 13 = -5

Notice how the 5's in parentheses have opposite signs to the 5's after the 2nd equal sign. This trick works with any number!
