Trigonometry Tricks 5

90° - arcsin(x) = arccos(x)

90° - arccos(x) = arcsin(x)

Examples:

arcsin(3/5) = 36.86989765...°

arccos(3/5) = 53.13010235...°

90° - 36.86989765...° = 53.13010235...°

90° - 53.13010235...° = 36.86989765...°

arcsin(-1) = -90°

arccos(-1) = 180°

90° - (-90°) = 90° + 90° = 180°

90° - 180° = -90°

The minimum number allowed in the arcsin & arccos functions is -1; the maximum number allowed in the arcsin & arccos functions is +1.
